Nolvadex Side Effects

Side effects of Nolvadex caused by long-term use of the drug are not that serious as side effects caused by androgens and estrogens, which are used for treating breast cancer too.

The mentioned side effects could be classified as the ones which occur due to antiestrogenic action of Nolvadex (i. g. facial flushes, vaginal bleeding, vaginal discharge and itching in the region of external sex organs and general side effects (stomach disorder, dizziness, skin rash, fluid detention and alopecia.

In case of serious side effects the dose of the diseases could be reduced; at the same time you would be able reduce the severity of the side effects and keep control over the diseases. Few patients with bone metastases reported hypercalcemia after Nolvadex therapy. Nolvadex taken in combination with cytotoxic agents increases the risks of developing inopectic diseases.
